Self-Shooting Director & DOP
Crusoe Weston is a self-taught filmmaker whose work focuses on human stories, everyday humour, and overlooked details. With a background in photography, he’s drawn to natural light, analogue formats, and a rough textural visual style.
Much of his inspiration comes from travelling around the UK and spending time in its smaller places—experiencing the quirks of British community and folk culture, and the people behind them. His films aim to find meaning in the familiar and give space to voices that often go unheard.
In addition to his documentary work, Crusoe directs commercial projects for brands, focusing on clear, story-driven content. He has experience creating clean, polished visuals for fashion and cosmetics campaigns, while keeping a consistent, grounded style across both editorial and branded work.
